Ward Fredrickson, MD - Medical Director
Dr. Ward Fredrickson is a pathologist affiliated with Pathology Consultants PC in Bismarck, ND. He received his doctor of medicine degree from the University of Iowa. His residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, as well as Surgical Pathology Fellowship, were completed at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Dr. Fredrickson is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology. Dr. Fredrickson has over 20 years of experience as a consultant and director in the clinical laboratory. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Society of Clinical Pathologists, College of American Pathologists, and American College of Physician Executives.

   
Nancy Buchholz, MT(ASCP) - Administrative Lab Director
Nancy Buchholz has over 20 years of experience in the clinical laboratory. She received her Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology degree from North Dakota State University and interned at St. Alexius Medical Center. She has worked in various laboratory roles including Core Lab Supervisor for NPL. She values the opportunity to lead the many experienced and talented individuals of this organization, which places value on quality, innovation and exceptional customer service.


   

Supervisory Administration

Todd P., MT (ASCP) - Core Laboratory Supervisor
Todd received his Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology from the University of Mary. Todd has over 17 years of clinical experience having worked as generalist in clinic settings as well as medical center setting. Todd has worked in the areas of blood bank, hematology, chemistry, clinical microscopy, and coagulation before assuming his role as Core Laboratory Supervisor for NPL.

     
Paul N. - IT Supervisor
Paul has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems and an Associate Degree in Electronic Data Processing. Paul has been developing software, specifically healthcare information technology systems for over 20 years. Paul has extensive experience in laboratory information systems, customized medical billing and reporting systems, as well as the development and implementation of custom interfaces. Paul supervises an IT team with programming, analyst, and LIS support skills.

     
Craig O. - Marketing Coordinator
Craig received his bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Minot State College. He has over 19 years of experience in retail management and pharmaceutical sales. Craig focus's on new and existing client development and on going needs support. Ann O., MT (ASCP) - Compliance Officer
Ann received her Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from Minot State College. Ann has 29 years of laboratory experience including working as a generalist, as a technologist in chemistry, and as a supervisor of support services and laboratory information systems. Most recently she is directing our compliance and contractual services.

     
Renae B., MS, MT(ASCP), SM - Microbiology Supervisor
Renae is the supervisor of NPL's Microbiology Department. She has a Master of Science in Microbiology from the University of North Dakota and over 25 years of experience in the Microbiology laboratory. Renae has specialty certification in Microbiology (ASCP) and is a "working" supervisor. She possesses excellent administrative skills and has unparalleled skills as a microbiology specialist. Renae is the Clinical Coordinator for the University of North Dakota Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technologist student clinical practicum and the Bismarck State College clinical practicum for two year degreed Clinical Laboratory Technician's. Renae is an experienced educator for the Clinical Laboratory Science student interns, as well as guest speaker for numerous laboratory/scientific forums.

     
Rhonda B., MT(ASCP)BB, MPA - Client Services Supervisor
Rhonda is the supervisor of the Client Services Departments which includes specimen processing, call center and consulting services. She is a graduate of North Dakota State University (BS) MT and the University of North Dakota (MPA) Health Administration Certificate. She has over 25 years of transfusion medicine experience and specialty certification as a blood bank specialist (ASCP)BB. Most recently, Rhonda has served as a consultant to our outreach clients. In addition, she has acted as an instructor for Clinical Laboratory Science students and is a frequent speaker at state and local meetings.


     
Patti S., MLT(ASCP) - Billing Supervisor
Patti has an Associate of Science degree and over 20 years of experience in all areas of the laboratory. Most recently, she has completed administrative medical specialist and advanced coding courses. She enjoys the interaction with clients, assisting them with CPT coding, ICD-9 coding and insurance questions.
